#42: Videos – “Hey, how do we make a video go viral?!” If it were that easy, every advertising executive in the country would have it mastered by now. One of the best examples of a marketing campaign gone viral is from LA-based, Dollar Shave Club, whose first YouTube video picked up 4.75 million views in the first three months. The video, which was produced from start-to-finish for $4,500, generated thousands of dollars in sales within days of its premier.
If your business doesn’t have a $4,500 video budget, don’t sweat it. Promotional videos and commercials for your Web site can be done for as little as $5 through services like Fiverr. Contact actors (or even puppets), write up a script, and have some fun! You never know what could be YouTube’s next big hit!
