This weekend, the Library of Congress held a monumental event sure to go down in history – “Bibliodiscoteque”. This tribute to the Disco era highlights the the library’s collections and the music of Gloria Gaynor. The queen of disco graced the stage with a once-in-a-lifetime disco dance party in the historic Great Hall.
What was DAY Vision’s part in Bibliodiscoteque?
DAY Vision documented the event by providing videography, photography, event coordination and social media management services throughout the day. We interviewed attending participating charities of Gloria’s clothing company, iwillsurvive.org who flew in from places all over the globe to attend the event – including London, Canada and more!
We also walked the beautiful and bustling streets of Washington interviewing fans who shared encouraging words to Gloria before she took the stage. Throughout the weekend and thereafter, DAY Vision managed I Will Survive’s social media by utilizing Facebook and Instagram features such as Boomerang and Live feeds.
Needless to say, it was an awesome time. Follow the I Will Survive Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to see some behind the scenes action.
